Pickled Daikon, Fermented Garlic and Toum!

by Collette White | 31 March, 2020

Good Morning friends! I hope this finds you well. I wanted to post here a few recipe links from last week, so they are easily found in the future (for me and for you!)

In my kitchen last Friday, I made:

** Pickled Daikon (& one with carrot) – inspired by a post by Janella Purcell on her Instagram page – she gave super interesting information on the benefits of daikon!

The recipe I found and roughly followed was: https://www.vickypham.com/blog/pickled-daikon-carrot-for-banh-mi

** Fermented Honey & Garlic – inspired by getting loads of garlic from a neighbour & searching what I could do with it! I have since seen it a numerous amount of times over Instagram – so great & exciting!

The recipes I followed were:

https://dobbernationloves.com/food-drink/fermented-honey/

** ‘Toum’ Lebanese garlic dip – inspired by a friend’s recommendation on Instagram (when I asked for other suggestions on how to use the garlic!)

The recipe I used was:

Funny thing is that I can’t eat any of this at the moment but I’ll certainly be encouraging my family to enjoy it daily to hopefully help with their health & immune system.

Wishing you a truly wonderful week ahead! I look forward to connecting with you more again soon.
Take Care of You,
