I feel so old saying this but my gosh 2018 went so fast!
It’s been a reasonably uneventful year for us, however, I find comfort in this & am grateful for the quiet-ish & healthy-ish year that was.
2018 saw our family visit a few different countries. In June the six of us went to Fiji with my parents & my sister & her family.
In September, my eldest daughter, Miss 16 went to Vietnam & Cambodia with School. In October, my second daughter, Miss 14 went to Ireland with her bestie since age 3 & her family. What experiences. Memories to last a lifetime.
We have been in Tasmania 2 1/2 years & love everything about it. It’s our happy place. We have had a few visitors this past year & enjoy this so much. We feel very content as a family & even more so with the addition of our new fur-baby, Eilidh, the French Bulldog.
We know that happiness, good health, calm, contentment & joy is something we need to work on everyday. We don’t take it for granted.
I have never been one to make New Year resolutions, I just take this turning of one year to another as a time to reflect on positives & what to be grateful for and focus on being kind to yourself & others and doing the best we can with what we have at the moment.
Life is short, let’s try to be thankful for every breath & encourage others to do the same if they are struggling.
Thank you for all your support, love & encouragement this past year. You keep me going, cooking & creating more than you know.
Here’s to making 2019 as best as it can be.
