Too Easy Homemade Chocolate

Good Afternoon friends! Happy Friday!
I hope this finds you all well and that you have had a gorgeous week. Can you believe Easter is almost here!? My family ventured to the Easter Show in Sydney yesterday (well all of us except for Miss 12 who was unimpressed that her School Camp dates clashed with this! … Miss 10 was dancing there in the main arena this year for BJP Physie so we didn’t have a choice of dates) … so I am a little weary today after being gone from 8am and home at just after 11pm! If we are going to do it we do it properly! Such a long and FUN day … I LOVE watching my Kids laugh and have the best time! I know many people ask how I ‘do’ days like this – what we eat, what we buy etc – so stay tuned I will blog about our day next week. In the mean time something more important …. Chocolate … this chocolate is SO easy it is almost laughable … I first made it in a saucepan and realised there was actually no need for heat … so with no heat or flames it’s a perfect one to get your kiddies helping you in the Kitchen to make too! Can’t wait to hear from you when you make it!
½ cup coconut oil
¼ cup cacao powder
4 tblspns maple syrup
1 tblspn milk of choice (optional)
Place the coconut oil, cacao and maple syrup into a medium sized bowl and mix using a spoon until thoroughly combined and nice and smooth.
IF you think the mixture looks a little thick then add the 1 tblspn of milk and mix well again. If not, there is no need to add it.
Really. It’s as simple as that.
Pour into moulds. Freeze for a few hours (if you can wait that long) and enjoy!
Swap Cacao for Cocoa if you prefer.
Swap Maple for another liquid sweetener if you prefer.
Store in fridge or freezer. Being mainly coconut oil based it WILL melt if left out too long.
Add extras as you wish e.g. peppermint, coconut, nuts etc!
My 4 kids LOVE this! I was truly surprised as my Miss 4 has been REALLY fussy with food lately and not liking anything and she is the one that asks for this more than the others!
Wishing you a truly wonderful week ahead! I look forward to connecting with you more again soon.
