choc nut bites

Good Afternoon friends! I hope this finds you all well. I am here to share with you today this totally scrumptious treat that my Miss 16 (miss _cutoutthecrap – Instagram) created. It took her a couple of goes to get it right but we were all happy to be her taste testers! I love the dark chocolate taste with a hint of sweetness and then the crunch of that macadamia inside. The perfect sized treat, although I must admit I don’t always stop at one! I hope you love them as much as we do.

Ingredients

½ cup coconut oil

1/3 cup cacao powder

2 tblspns coconut cream

2 tblspns honey

good pinch salt

24 macadamias

1/3 cup nut butter

Method

Line a 12 hole mini muffin tray with patty cases and set aside.

Place the coconut oil into a small saucepan and melt on a medium – low heat. Remove from heat.

Add cacao powder, coconut cream and honey and stir until smooth.

Pour a small amount of chocolate mixture into each patty case – no more than half full. Freeze for 5-10 minutes.

Add ½ tspn nut butter and 2 macadamias to the top of each chocolate base.

Top with the remaining chocolate, sprinkle with salt and freeze for 20 minutes.

Enjoy!

Store in the freezer.

Notes

Note: The Coconut Cream is optional, we found that the chocolate is less bitter if you use it though.
